Most ringtone sites make you fight for the file. You close pop-ups, wait for timers and wonder if the "download" button is really an ad. We built RingtoneDownload.org to fix that. Every page loads fast, every tone plays in the browser, and the ringtone download starts the moment you tap. No account. No app. No tricks.
Every tone in our library is checked before it goes live. Some are composed by us, some are made for us by paid musicians, and some come from open licences such as CC0. Each one has a saved licence proof. That means you can set a tone on your phone without worrying where it came from.
How does ringtone download work on this site?
It takes three taps:
- Play. Tap the round play button on any card. Only one tone plays at a time, so you can compare quickly. Tap the waveform to jump to any part.
- Pick. Like it? Tap the heart to save it to your favourites on this device, or open the tone page for more details.
- Download. Tap the arrow for the MP3, or open the tone page and choose Download M4R for iPhone.
On a computer? Open any tone page and use Send to phone. Scan the QR code with your phone camera and the same page opens on your phone, ready to download.
MP3 or M4R: which ringtone file do you need?
This is the most common question we get, so here is the short version.
- Android phones (Samsung, Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, Realme, Infinix, Tecno, Pixel and others) use MP3. Our MP3 ringtones are 128 kbps. That is clear on a phone speaker and small enough to download on slow mobile data.
- iPhone uses M4R. It is the same AAC audio Apple uses, just with the ringtone file extension. We trim every M4R to fit Apple's length limit and add a soft fade at the end, so it never cuts off sharply.
Both files are made from the same source. We also balance the volume of every tone, so a soft piano tune and a sharp alert both play at a similar, comfortable level. You will not get one tone that whispers and another that shouts.
What kinds of ringtones can you download?
We sort tones by what people actually look for:
- Islamic tones: Islamic ringtones, naat ringtones, nasheed ringtones and azan tones. These are recorded or commissioned by us, never ripped from videos.
- Music tones: instrumental ringtones, piano ringtones and flute ringtones for a calm, classy sound.
- Mood tones: romantic, sad, attitude, funny, baby and loud ringtones for when you must hear your phone.
- Short sounds: notification sounds, message tones and alarm tones.
- By phone: ringtones for iPhone and ringtones for Android.

Are these free ringtones safe and legal?
Yes. This is where we are different from many free ringtone sites. We do not upload songs, film music, TV themes or clips of famous artists. Those tones may be fun, but they belong to someone else, and they can disappear or cause problems later.
Instead, every tone falls into one of these groups:
- Original: composed and produced by us.
- Commissioned: made by a paid musician or voice artist, with full rights transferred to us in writing.
- Open licence: CC0 (public domain) or CC BY, where we show the creator's credit on the tone page.
- Licensed: used with written permission from the owner.
You can see the licence of each tone on its page. If you ever believe a tone should not be here, use the Report this tone link and we will review it quickly. Read more on our About page.
How do you set a downloaded ringtone?
Every tone page has short steps for Android and iPhone right under the player. For full guides with pictures, see:
- How to set a ringtone on Android, including the method without any app.
- How to set a ringtone on iPhone, including methods without iTunes, from the Files app and with GarageBand.
- How to make your own ringtone from a recording or audio file you own.
Ringtone download karna: for users in Pakistan and India
Many people search "ringtone download karna" or "ringtone download kaise kare". The answer is the same on any phone: open a tone here, tap download, then pick it in your sound settings. There is nothing to install. The files are small, so a ringtone download works fine on 3G or a weak signal.
We also add tones that fit everyday life in South Asia, such as naat, nasheed and gentle Islamic tones, calm flute and piano tunes, and short message tones that work well in the office or the classroom.
Tips for picking a ringtone you won't get tired of
A ringtone plays dozens of times a week, so choose with care:
- Short and clear wins. A 10 to 20 second tone with a clear start is easier to notice than a long, slow build.
- Match the place. Use a soft piano or flute tone for the office, and a loud ringtone if you work in a noisy shop or on the road.
- Use different sounds. Pick one ringtone for calls, a short message tone for texts and a separate notification sound for apps. You will know what is ringing without looking.
- Give family their own tone. Both Android and iPhone let you set a custom ringtone for one contact.
Frequently asked questions
Are the ringtones on this site really free?
Yes. Every ringtone download here is free, with no sign-up and no app. You can use any tone as a ringtone, alarm or notification on your own phone.
How do I put custom ringtones on my iPhone?
Download the M4R file from the tone page. On iOS 26 or later, open it in the Files app, tap Share and choose Use as Ringtone if the tone is 30 seconds or shorter. On older versions, use GarageBand or Finder on a Mac. Our iPhone guide shows each step.
How do I set a custom ringtone on my Android?
Download the MP3, then open Settings, go to Sound and vibration, and tap Phone ringtone. Tap the plus button or My sounds, choose the file and save. On Samsung the path is Settings, Sounds and vibration, Ringtone.
How can I create a free ringtone?
Pick an audio file you own or recorded yourself, cut a 15 to 30 second part, and save it as MP3 for Android or M4R for iPhone. Our free ringtone guide explains how to do it without paying for any app.
Can I use a song as a ringtone on iPhone?
You can if you own the song file and it is for your own phone. Trim it to 30 seconds and use the Files method or GarageBand. We do not offer song ringtones because we only share tones we have the rights to.
Do you have ringtones in MP3 for Android and M4R for iPhone?
Yes. Every tone has both files. The MP3 works on all Android phones and most other devices, and the M4R is ready for iPhone.
